Now when patients from around the region need to get to Methodist fast, one call does it all. Physicians from throughout the region call the Methodist STAT Transfer Program to give their patients immediate access to the most advanced treatments and interventions, any time of the day or night.
Methodist STAT gives physicians 24/7 access to:
- Specially trained critical care Registered Nurses who coordinate transfers to Methodist
- Immediate ground or helicopter transport
- Expedited admitting procedures for rapid intervention
- Easy, seamless transition for physician and patient
- Special services for families including The Methodist Inn - free, hotel-like accommodations within Methodist itself
- Follow-up by nurse coordinators to ensure that the patient's return to the primary care physician is complete
Meet our Methodist STAT coordinators:
Shelley A. Scaff, RN
Shelley is a 1997 graduate of Methodist School of Nursing. She was a lifeflight nurse at OSF St. Francis for five years, while also serving as a CVICU/ICU nurse at Methodist. She also has experience in orthopedics and neuro ICU. Her certifications include ACLS, CPR, prehospital RN, ENPC, Trauma Nurse Specialist, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and PHTLS.
Prenda Gannon, RN
Prenda is a graduate of Methodist School of Nursing. She has been a cardiovascular critical care nurse at Methodist for 24 years. Prenda is an ACLS and ACLS EP instructor, and also teaches OH, VAD, 12-lead EKG, and CVVH nursing.
